OpenInsight Boot Up Failed

open insight boot up failed

Bugbase is written in a programming language called OpenInsight. Your computer cannot run programs in this language by itself and needs an Engine to do a lot of the processing for it. So sometimes, when you try to close Bugbase, for whatever reason, your computer does not end the program correctly and the Engine gets left running in the background. Although Bugbase itself may seem like it closed normally, the Engine is humming along quietly behind the scenes. So when you try to launch Bugbase again, it displays this pop-up that says OpenInsight boot up failed to let you know something is wrong (just like if you tried to start your car with the engine already on and it makes that terrible noise).

When this happens, close the alert window and right click on the area of the taskbar at the bottom of your desktop screen that displays the time and date. Then select Start Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab. and look through the list for a process called oinsight.exe. Right click on that process and select End Process. You will be asked if you are sure you want to end the process – go ahead and end it. Try to open Bugbase again. If you are still having trouble, give us a call and we will be happy to help you.
